Matt Pare- Regional Account Manager

Although Matt has been with Aztec Tents for almost four years now, his career in the tent industry began 18 years ago in his hometown of Exeter, New Hampshire. He had no idea his summer job at Exeter Tents and Events would mark the beginning of his career in the tent industry. “After working forty-four days straight without a day off and not minding it, I knew I had found my labor of love; I had found my niche. The tent business became my passion.”

In 2003, Matt was offered a job in Colorado as General Manager of Classic Party Rental’s new Colorado Springs location. Being a native New Englander, Matt was hesitant to move halfway across the country, but the excitement outweighed the apprehension. So Matt packed up and headed westward. Not long after, Matt was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing and played an integral role in Classic Party Rental’s growth and success by helping to open additional locations across the state. Satisfied with his success in Colorado and confident that other opportunities would come his way, he returned to the east coast to be closer to family and friends.

Matt couldn’t have been happier to join the Aztec Tents team in 2008. As the Regional Account Manager for New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and the DC metro area, he travels extensively between his home base in New Hampshire and his clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. Matt says, “It’s the relationships with clients that makes my work meaningful, not only have I developed great clients, I’ve developed life-long friendships as well.”

When Matt’s not working, you can find him on the golf course, ski slopes, or spending time with family and friends.

“The tent business is challenging and creative,” Matt states. “It is hard work but I love what I do. I often joke that if you were to cut me, I’d bleed vinyl.”
